Tentative BHS Band Calendar:

  • August 11th – Afterschool rehearsals begin each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 5:00PM.

  • August 11th – Band Booster Meeting – 7:00PM in the BHS Band Room

  • August 13th - Meet the Cardinals

    • 6:00PM in the BHS Gymnasium

    • The school is wanting to get the band involved in Meet the Cardinals.    We will likely play some pep music and recognize our seniors at this event.

  • August 21st – Football Game - Home vs. Pure Academy

  • August 28th – Home vs. Dyersburg

  • September 4th – Home vs. Jackson Central Merry

  • September 5th – Required Saturday Rehearsal

  • September 8th – Band Booster Meeting – 7:00PM in the BHS Band Room

  • September 11th – Away @ Covington - We will Perform as a pep band

  • September 12th – Tipton County Showcase at BHS

  • September 18th – Possible Additional Afterschool Rehearsal

  • September 19th – Hornet Invitational at South Gibson County High School

  • September 25th – Kingsbury Football Game - Location TBA

  • September 26th – Bethel University Renaissance Marching Invitational

  • October 2nd – Home vs. McCracken

  • October 3rd – Mid-South Marching Classic at Jonesboro High School

  • October 16th – Home vs. Munford - This is the Friday of Fall Break – Those who are in town are expected to be at the game.

  • October 20th – Band Booster Meeting – 7:00PM in the BHS Band Room

  • October 23rd – Away @ Millington

  • October 24th – Crockett County Marching Invitational at Crockett County High School - This is a prelims/finals contest, which means we will likely perform twice. It will be a longer day.

  • October 29th (Thursday Night) – Home vs. Overton – This will likely be Senior Night

  • October 30th – Possible Friday Rehearsal

  • October 31st – Required Saturday Rehearsal

  • November 7th – Bandmasters Championship at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium (Liberty Bowl)

  • November – Football Playoffs - We will perform as a pep-band at any play-off games that we can to support the football team.  These dates will likely continue on Fridays throughout November and will depend on the football team’s record.

  • November 10th – Band Booster Meeting – 7:00PM in the BHS Band Room

  • November 11th – Veterans Day Parade During the School Day

  • Early December (Exact Date TBA) – Brighton Christmas Parade

  • Mid-December (Exact Date TBA) – Holiday Concert

  • There is the possibility that a Friday game or two will be transitioned to a Thursday night game.

  • The current football game schedule is tentative and subject to change. 

  • Our competition schedule as to where exactly we will be going is currently in the works. We hope to have it posted near the end of band camp/beginning of the school year.

  • Performances are part of the student’s grade.
